    Default Rover Radio Code Needed

My wifes battery died on her Rover and the radio now wants a code after we replaced the battery. I hope someone will be kind enough to help me find the code, here are the details of the stereo

    Type No - 22 DC652/60E
RG Part No - XQD 10056
    FD 01 95 13 2524083

There are 2 bar codes at the bottom they are:
    90222165260201
    00195132524083

I really hope you can help, my wife is getting rather frustrated and as we have just had a baby some soothing music in the car would be very helpful. I know a place locally that will do the code for ?15 but we can't afford that at the moment.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I do hope someone can help.

    Phil

The code is stored in an internal component called an eeprom type number 24c02, to read this, it has to be removed from the printed circuit and the data read from it, using a eprom programmer, the data retrieved is called a dump.
There is a database for Philips radio's but this is only any good for unit's made before 2000.
If it is earlier than 2000, if you can supply the 14 digit number engraved on the side of the radio we might be able to help.

I think trying to guess the code has caused the whole thing to break back when it first happened. All I am getting is -C- on the LCD display now and none of the buttons work.

Thanks so much for the code I hope I haven't wasted your time.

    Any ideas

Hi just leave the ignition and the radio switched on, engine not running, can take up to 1 hour, depending on how many attempts at entering the code you made.

right question is why you try to answer ....for me this one is comic..as he say "My wifes battery died" right answer should be where is she now ..or something like this....serial code is not good at all..some friend there can earn 15p.for it..so let it be.... good to help somebody who is ready to even try to understand how this work should be done..but for ordinary people we can only ask how he change wifes batery? maybe on this mater we can help..not me I am to old..

    regards!

I think the model is rf325496 but there is a bunch of other number on it. these are 22dc349/6qb and 902221349601 and m/ch127269 and 311111531751. thanks in advance if anyone has the code or knows a place where i can get it.
