i have beepro (clone) about 10 months , used daily, zero problems till now.
Labtool dont know.

I had a Micromaster LV48 years ago and as I needed support for new IC's (SPI - you can see how long ago it was) so I had to upgrade as the firm stopped trading. I bought a manufacturer refurbed Dataman-48XP (same as the labtool) for about ?200. They are available on ebay as well. Support from Dataman is superb and the are very regular updates as new chips come out.

Dataman / Labtool 48xp _ Great unit
I have had one for over 5 years now for programming pics, eeproms eprom etc I cant fault it. Mine is LPT only & I have priced up the usb conversion & will buy it as lpt ports on pc's are getting rarer on new machines. Cant fault support from dataman.
