    Default VAG comfort module problem

    hi,
    second time iv come across this problem
    i reckon its a common fault

    basically on a vw polo i cudnt comunicate with address 35 or 46

    and yesterday i had a n audi s3, 1st i cudnt log in
    wen i managed 2 evrythin seemed fine
    but the problem is remote central lockind dont work but in live data i can see the remote buttons being pushed also the cars indicators dont flash anymore when locked with a key

    any solutions

    late for work again and on own

    disconnect polo battery

    audi, check the car thibks the hood trunk and doors are shut

    again battery off

    Hi.
    See if radio is the original.
    If not remove it and confirm diagnostic.Could be line comunication problems (and central lock defect )because radio connections.

    radio is not original
    s3 is year 2000 and it has a 2002 audi a8 cd player in there

    customer said that wen the radio was swapped, central locks wer working fine with remote, until recently the battery went dead on car & remote

    now the problem is wen i do a sync procedure with 1 key in ignition and 1 in door, the indicators blink wen remote is pressed but wen i turn ignition off 2 test the remote there isnt a response but still in live data it shows remote bein pressed,
    cud it still be radio???

    @MH all doors are recognised as shut, so i dnt think dat is the problem

    just try unplugging the radio, (dobut it) just incase some dumb~~~~ has wired the ignition/b+ wong way round and the juicy capaictor in the wireless is 'holding' the ignition 'on'.

    Also get a Sthil saw and one by one remove the doors incase one of the 'outstations' has water init affecting operation.

    Sound like somethng has got corrupt.

    Does it lock with the key?

    Check the body control unit has had no water in it, if it hasn't i'm sure you could find a nearby tap, put some in and show the punter

    iv tried unplugging the radio but still no luck!
    no water anywhere, double checked all doors
    and yes they do lock with the key
    there is corruption somwer jus dnt knw wer

    just to be unhelpful is it a vacum system or electric?

    does the doors go KERCHUNG-KERCHUNG, or gentle parrrp noise.

    if vacum system then see if compresser in trunk has water in it..
    if the customer is not looking get a stanley knife and remove the entire front section of carpet, check for corroded loom (just gaffa tape back down).

    Would ask for directions to 'Z786 Motors' but some pompus bloke with a wig
    took my driving licence again

    In establishing communication,(35 central locking or 46 comfort modul),use adaptation function and makes RESET module on 00 channel and then re-do the application keys and other programming,if no have any fault.Cheers!

    iv done a reset, still the same
    also iv noticed the alarm led on the drivers door doesnt flash anymore, can this be related??

    any other ways i can try plzz

    I forgot to say that the reset is done so that the channel 00 press the READ and then it goes away but it certainly you know.Check voltage drop on the module but also GND,(because,your communication module is with difficulty) but i'm pretty sure that you have a breakdown on the door driver side.Can be a fault on the module, generally but check this first.

    wat do i look for on the door?
    evrythin was fine on that car until the owner decided 2 sync the key, only after the sync the car start playin up

    Hi.z786.U many cases by the gate driver side is the problem in the lock so you know to make the whole mess over to activate the alarm because there was no double-lock secure.When the door is locked, any key or the remote must be heard working double locks or no insurance or LED not blink.In the lock there are micro-switches that you are reluctant to dirty or an little motor not work well.In each case is checked especially if not work interior lighting design when you open the driver's door.The attempt to connect directly to GND to GND bulbs,that illuminate when you open the door on the side and then see if there will be a double lock secure and LED need blinking.Try this,but otherwise I'm closer to the problem would not really help out.If the pneumatic lock then we have a problem in the module with the vacuum pump or vacuum leak and switch on the pump or switches on locks on the gate not work to the end.Check him and locks on the gate because they know break down.Regards.

    just a thought but i've had problem before where it turned out to be ignition barrel so r/c/l would not operate as car thought ign still on- only found this because radio still powered up with key out. also common on vauxhalls

    thanx, i will check
    another problem is wen i check address 35 with a cheap tool like vag commander there isnt communication with ecu but when i use vag-com i can read dtcs straight away i reckon it cud be a k-line fault?? any suggestions 2 "free" the k-line
