Subaru Select Monitor Cartridges Blue Streak

Hi does anyone on here have a Subaru New Select Monitor scanner or a Blue streak diagnostic monitor? I am looking for subaru software and hopefully it will work on the BDM pro that I have. The cartridges seem pretty much like old video games. Does anyone have a source on cartridges and software? I need subaru software from 90s to like 2000 or so. I am dying to use this new scanner.

I think evoscan does everything that the subaru monitor will do and its only like 20 bux. I think i am going to buy it and try it out. I am still dying to know what kind of cartridges that the NSM takes. I have the cable that allows you to program cards on it. I just need some blank cards and access to some subaru files.

Hi ,i have BSE bdm pro and i seek for cartridge subaru, bdm pro and ssm subaru is the same machine made by hitachi, i ask to representative bluestreak electronic for cartridge subaru, he can't help me for that the software and unit bdm is not controled by (bse), since 2007 no software it was available for bdm now 2009 is available too long for tech automotive i work on recent cars, so i continue to check for cartrige, if i see it i let you know, sorry for my english im in quebec,bye.

Latest SSM3 uses CD loaded to laptop. Includes latest files for factory calibration. calibration work ok with pass-thru but not diagnostic. Dunno if this able to load on card.

You can use romraider to log the later ECU's and there are a few others too for the SSM1... ecuexplorer is another older one. Acutally I did have WPSM a french program which is very good for SSM1&2. If you need some links let me know and I'll post them up. Evoscan is good for the mitsubishis but very slow for the Subarus, cheap though

As for writing to the earlier ECUs via BDM I'd be very keen to find out. Anything from 2001 onward is not a problem of course

Now the other program worth mentioning is the original Ecuexplorer, its open source but now pretty much obsoleted by romraider. It does have ssm1 support though so take a look at it too.

For the current Subaru models
RomRaider - Open Source ECU Tools | RomRaider / Rom Raider

Tactrix for the Ecuflash utility and editting suite and some hardware.These guys have the best hardware option - the Openport II.

An alternative hardware source for cables is EvoScan OBDII Mitsubishi Subaru DataLogger Scantool for the older cables and some Mitsubishi stuff. For simple logging a Vagcom clone will do although it is only capable of flashing older SSMII subaru models with an older version of Ecuflash and I'd never use one on a customers car. For CAN vehicles you need the Openport II from Tactrix.com
