    Default Tacho Universal car list thru obd2

    first off all srry for opening a new topic!

    second, it may be stupid, but i have low internet speed and i didnt dl the user manual...

    so..anyone can make a list of cars and years that can be done using tacho universal???

    and a tool for edc16??

    i am thinking to buy a tacho universal....and turn myself in a Sunday "mechanic"!

    Just a little tip there was an update thats not in the list Jeep cherokee 02 03 series can be done via obd and not just solder like it says in manual

    We should compile our own list of cars that can be done through OBD through our practical experiance
    models ive done via ODB Port

    02 VW Caravelle
    03 Grand Cherokee Ignition on, Never swith ignition on or off with lead in obd2 or cable will fry
    02 Jeep cherokee do with IGNITION off Or you get error on disply
    99 Merc SLK
    2000 Vectra
    01 Beetle
    2000 Astra

    Yes i was let loose in my mates yard started trying various models of damaged repairable cars and i done 05 focus through obd2 , i cant remeber what lead i used

    hi with obd lead is it best to connect everything all up 1st then ignition on/off?
