Exclamation Vaux Vectra C diesel starting problem

    Hi,
just a quick 1 for you lads

iv had a few vectra diesels in over past months

they take ages 2 start, they take a long time to kick in

the first time you start them they are fine but the rest of the day its a hard start

iv had starter motors checked, glow plugs changed, batterys changed

    still no joy

its seems like a common problem

    any ideas??

    thanx

If this is the ones i think they are, them the injectors are 'in the head'
the have the leakoff (spill, whatever) pipes, go manky, remove them and replace with fresh, or 3.2mm fuel hose.

Whilst we are on the subject of bags of crap:

Has anybody found out why Toyota Previa, Lucifers and Toyota Enema's
loose the rear side lights for no apparnt rerason, common faul, word on street nbody has found or intreasted in the proper fix.

    Thanks

    Meaty.

if the cdti common rail - non isuzu engine, you first need to do bottles test on injectors, then check high & low pressure pump delivery pressures, then starter draw tests when hot & cold. a compression test might be the way to go too mate

The first time start well, glow plugs ok
Engine warm ,maybe if you find more rotation to start engine it starts,
Ground cables, revision on starter even looks ok.
A second battery connected ground direct to engine to see the diference,
    Rpm sensor clean.
    Each car...each headache
