I've tried over 20 times to sweep ecus with this "shit" :O !! It's not working
    But...

A friend of mine told me that this sweeper works only if the ecu is connected to the car!! He tried it and he did it!
I can't try it because i dont have a usb converter :P i will buy one and i will try

You must have patience, some times 20 times is not enough. You must luck at the MIL. First power up the ecu, you eill see MIL blinking, next connect the sweepre, the mill must steady light then pres sweep button. After the cycle has finished power off the the ecu and power it again on without sweeper and see if mil is lighting steady. If not try again until the job is done.

Well, i forgot to mention that i didn't buy this sweeper from tektronics but from an Italian guy on facebook! There is no sweep button! You send the signal(frequency) via the software!

Have got these harness plugs already from breaker yard.

Problem i i foocked up three fenix 5 ecu's in the last two weeks by removing the chip .

Would like to know what is best tool to invest money into so that i do not blow the next one again.

Got car eventually to run with the tweeser method . ( Without need to remove chip)

So seems tiny sweeper is maybe not a good choice..

    Thanks..

But there is a better method, without open the ecu, but it is time consuming method. Search renault decoder here on DK

Tried to built one of these long time back. Left it clicking for days on an ecu and gave up on it..

    Maybe better to buy one.

    Thanks

Will have a look into that again.

    Seems safer option..

@PierreTheron I use for fenix always tiny sweeper (I founf it here on DK) I always solve problem (immo off) on car (only cut immo line) open ecu and connect sweeper on appropriate pin on flash and with this metode bypass immo on more than 20 ecus with 100% success.I spend for hole operation only 5-10 min.

For TMS based ECUs the best method I have tested so far is the tweezer method. Don't need any software/hardware, just cut the immo line, open ecu, remove gum from flash and run tweeters over pins with ignition ON ... job done in 15 min max.
