    Exclamation egr electrovalve open circuit

I have a code on the ecu for an open circuit on the egr electrovalve.

I have followed a previous thread of checking where the valve is and replaced it. But the code is still there and Iv'e checked the wiring back to the ECU and also the PMA 1 noir connector in the fuse box. From there I can't really read diagrams on peugeot web site as they are a wee bit complex.
    Fault produced is anti pollution
Car is 53 plate RHS 90 307 sw. This is purely electrical or something else in the circuit is not doing its job to provide power to the valve. so any suggestions or is it off to the peugeot dealer for investigation?

have you tried an oscilloscope to read the egr waveforms at the ecu pin outs. is it just me or has anyone else noticed how many peugeots have 'anti pollution' problems

    1) control the Pressure of the space ( le vide ) necessary to run the egr.

    2) there are 2 Solenoid valve (electrovannes) , one for for EGR, the other for geometry turbo managing. there are generaly together on the same basket. try to exchange them to see. there are identicals and you can exchange them without risk.

    3) if there is a FAP (filtre ? particule), several problems can appear:
    - The filter can be filled(blocked)
    - there is also a sensor of pressure differentiel who is often out of order.
    - it's possible than the "cerine" tank is empty but in that case, a alert lamp would be on.
sorry for my poor english langage. good luck

But what error is stored in the ECU?
