Unhappy Nokia Dbox2 is it worth keeping

Hi All i'm new to this. I decided to join because i now have a dbox which is just sitting there doing nothing since N3 arrived. What else can it be used for or does it become useless now?

Any box with a ethenet like a DBox may be worth hanging on to but we are not allowed to discuss that certain topic.....

I have seen on ebay Germany many sellers selling Satellite tuners for Sagem & Nokia boxes.

No idea if you can just change the tuner and use it as a satellite receiver ( Abeit a bit of soldering and drilling holes in the rear panel )

I'm running a Philips Sat dBox2 and its as good as my Dreambox. If the tuners can be changed at least you could use it for other things

    Nano

I managed to Change a tuner on a DM7000 without too much difficulty.

I found as long as you have the vacuum to suck up the solder when its in a liquid state its fairly straight forward

Make sure you get the right wattage soldering iron and soldering tip too as a high wattage one can damage the circuit board...
