    Default motorised dish problem

any one help with this problem... dish and motor and pole all set up correctly ? and pointing due south.(motor set to zero) using a dm500hd reciever.
have put my cordinates in the setup for usals... ok now when i tune to astra/hotbird 28.2e the dish moves east like it should do but stops on about 36 degrees east... i have to then inch the motor back 8 degrees to the west by using the manual movement button on the motor... any help with this would be appreciated .

when i set mine up i
1 pointed dish south (with motor set to zero)
    2 entered lat/long
3 select thor 1w on dreambox (motor should move slightly)
4 adjusted / tweaked for peak signal
5 tighten up dish/motor , and all other sats fell into place

have set mine up exactly as above but it is still over shooting the satellite by about 8 degrees... reads about 36 on the motor rather than 28

Is the pole 100% plumb ? Double check it, even if it's slightly out of plumb it will miss the arc and some sats.

Just wondering mate. You did point it to true south and not magnetic south?
