How to install Mapsource version:
1) remove any other version of Garmin City Navigator Europe 2010.10 for Mapsource
2) install Mapsource v6.15.4
3) Unrar all the files in a dir
4) Run install.bat that you find in the dir choosen early
5) Run Mapsource and if ask for a serial number, just use one for the MapID 449

If you want to uninstall Garmin City Navigator Europe 2010.10 , simply run Uninstall.bat

2. Download the jetmouse key generator.

3. Get your Garmin GPS 10 digit unit ID number by turning on your GPS and going to system settings then "About" and you will see the ID number. Alternative way is to plug your GPS into your computer and go into the Garmin folder and you will see a file called GarminDevice.xml, open it and you will see a 10 digit number right in the first few lines of code.

4. Open the jetmouse 1.5 keygen you downloaded, then copy and paste your 10 digit unit ID number into the first field. Then where it says "Select Map Product," go to "Custom Mapset" and enter "449"

5. There are two "Generate" buttons, click the bottom "Generate" button to get your map unlock code, you do not want to click the top generate button because that generates a software unlock code, which you do not need.

6. Copy (Ctrl+C) the map unlock code to your clipboard, then create a new text file on your desktop (Right click on desktop, new, text document) and paste (Ctrl+V) the code into it, now save the text file as "gmapsupp.unl" After you save it using that extension, you should not be able to open it anymore since it's no longer a text file unless you choose to associate .unl files with notepad.

7. Get a 2GB or more SD card and format it FAT or FAT32, create a folder on it called "Garmin" then copy and paste the "gmapsupp.img" file in this torrent along with the "gmapsupp.unl" you created into the Garmin folder on your SD card.

8. Insert the SD card into your Garmin GPS, and browse to your map information on your Garmin GPS and you should see the new maps selected. Tools>Settings>Map>Map Info. Make sure your old maps are de-selected, or it will show two POI's for an identical location.

Fortunately I was finally able to download part 14 but the maps appear as locked in mapsource. There?s only an online way to unlock it. Help please!!

I had this same problem. I used the Jetmouse KeyGen 1.5.

Input Unit ID
Garmin Mobile XT
Generate
Select Custom Map Set
Input Map ID 449
Generate You Map Unlock Code

In Mapsource, don't select to Unlock Onlline, click on the Unlock Regeions button I think it is, then you can enter the Unlock code in there and it should recognise it as Europe NT 2010. Mine has worked fine with this.

All (Mapsource) files downloaded, removed old files, installed update and everything ran smooth.

Those 'single' map files freed up over 1gig of 'Europe maps' space on me phone!

If you already have install & unlock the Garmin xt on your mobile and you just want to upgrade to a new map Europe NT 2010.10 Just copy and paste the gmapprom img file, in to your mobile sd card garmin folder, and you are done.

Guide how to install Garmin XT Mobile v.5.00.50 & Maps

Step By Step Installation Tutorial

Here’s how to install Garmin Mobile XT on your Nokia Device:
1. Extract RAR file on your Desktop or in whatever drive you want to.
2. Connect your N96 (via mass storage) or memory disk to your computer and make sure it’s detected by your computer.
3. Now, run the downloaded files on the computer, one after another, in this order:
1. v4.xx.xxx Support File,
2. v4.xx.xxx Basemap File
3. GMXT v5.00.10
When prompted to choose storage space, always choose the phone’s memory.
4. Disconnect phone memory from computer. It’s time to configure Garmin on your phone. Go to your phone’s File Manager >Garmin >Applications >Symbian >RES >GarminMobileXT.sis and install the .sis
If you can’t find GarminMobileXT.sis, check the root directory, it should be there. Install the .sis as per normal.
5. After that, go to Applications> run Garmin Mobile XT. It won’t connect to GPS satellite yet, so just ignore it.
6. Go to Tools/Settings then go bellow & click “About” & note down your ESN No & then exit Garmin.
7. Now we have to unlock Garmin Mobile XT so open Garmin Unlock Generator & enter your ESN No as shown bellow.

8. Copy the device unlock code and paste it in a notepad, then save the file as SW.UNL (make sure that the file name should be SW.UNL & not SW.UNL.TXT)
9. Reconnect your phone/memory to your computer.
10. Copy the SW.UNL file into \Garmin folder
11. Then, copy gmapsupp.img file into \Garmin folder (you have to unlock your map then only you can use it, just follow the instruction as shown below)

12. Copy the map unlock code and paste it in a notepad, then save the file as GMAPSUPP.UNL (make sure that the file name should be GMAPSUPP.UNL & not GMAPSUPP.UNL.TXT )
13. Copy the GMAPSUPP.UNL file into \Garmin folder
14. Disconnect your phone from your computer.
15. Go to Applications >Garmin Mobile XT >Settings >System >Remote GPS >Select ‘Use Attached/Built-in GPS’ >Enable and it’s all done.
16. Wait for satellite signal to strengthen and then you can start navigating around various places with confidence!
Green light means good to go!

This is how the garmin floder should look like.

I have downloaded the .rar files above and am trying to place the data on an SD card. I have created the gmapsupp.unl file which is now on the SD card and have extracted the .rar files. I cannot for the life of me find the gmapsupp.img file.

What do I do now? I tried copying the files onto the SD card and was told that not all data would copy and then tried extracting to the SD card - no joy again!!

Please read very carefully the tutorial above....AND you must have the requirements file to start with.

I followed the instructions and ran install.bat but only received error messages.

Is it necessary for the correct version of mapsource to be used as I have a slightly older version.

The trouble with that link, daithi55, is it is all 1 file...
So you have to have the WHOLE of Europe (as listed) whether you want it or not.
And that is a massive file...

A66ict3d's original link worked for me in the end, AND has the Mapsource function so you can choose which bit of Europe you need.
