need help with my digimaster ii instaltion cd

hello to all! i just but a new digimaster and hope to do my first car that is x5 02,
i know it is hard to do for my first car and hope to do it right
i plug the wiris first to the cluster like the diagram show
but it is sims that i can only write the milage up! not to lower it!!
i try to update my dm2 but its only let me refresh my cf card,
i try to update the dm2 its not recodnise by my pc

anybody can help me??
