Hi friend.
You can have 2 problems.
First you must check if you need to do an auto baud rate before try to read, if so the option appears in a button "Set auto baud rate" and Upa device automaticaly calculates the freq. to read the processor.
In the must part of the cases Upa is not able to read the NEC processors, it is better to use the NEC programmer.

UPA-USB give only that possibility to set automatic baudrate,must check all connections if it is one of first 8 bad that message apperas...

it isnt true that upa can not read some of nec uPD,a`ll do more than 100 and always with success!

That is true that UPA makes a lot of UPD NEC but not all NEC processors.
I work with car and robotic electronics, with NEC I find in cars there is no problem but there are some NEC processors in Robotics we can not read them with UPA.

yes,but UPA is designed mostly as automotive electronics tool and support mcu in it...

NEC uPD have many,any tool support it all...

With Clone Nec adapter u can't read anything.
UPA clone is also junk.

Must use original tool not chinease bad copies.


And of course must learn little bit more.
