The guys who bring you the firmware and methods of flashing the drives have only just got hold of the drives. Who knows what kind of methods MS have used to beef up security, i think that these wont be as easy as last lot, not now they know how they were getting the Firmware in the first place.

Time will tell, who knows maybe a variation of the MRA hack will work. When something is released i will post it

i suspect it is only a matter of time before they come up with a drive which cannot be flashed. this may be it, but only time will tell.

Philips make and trade under the lite-on name (Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions or PLDS), so there should be little differeance between the new console drive and the old, other than slightly different firmware and Key encryption.

Give it a few weeks and they will be flashable......

is that one the real driver? why it looks like just a mainboard. can you compare Coming Soon... SAMSUNG DVD optical disc drive for xbox 360 slim console: Xbox 360 Repair parts ---- this looks like a real dvd driver. but I'm not sure they have a good price and it's condition.
