BMW EWS 3 2D47J ( erased)

Hi all

Customer came for spare Key, BMW 320D, year 1998
contents of 2D47J (in BMW EWS 3 Hw: 02 SW: 05) is erased when I went to read it,
How to solve this? , DDE is Bosch 0281001445.

please any help is appreciated

Are you sure its erased and not got security m8, how are you reading and with what?

If it is erased you can order new ews box from dealers which will work with key straight away but will need synchronising with DDE. for vehicle to run. There around ?140 in the uk m8.

i am sure MCU eeprom is erased, i read it with omega,
Can I use pair of dumps from same car (DME and EWS)? of course if i find this pair of dumps.
Or is there virgin file for this DME,

Omega reads these ok. Are you using skip security option before Reading? If you don't then yes you may have erased it . Try skip sec again

i forgot to make skip security, i am sure it is erased

Have you tried Reading again if erased it should read ok just be blank all ff etc. If mcu not respond clean up legs etc then skip sec , read. If it reads fine but dump blank you need new ews really unless you read ecu and someone on here can match it up. I only do lost keys on BMW to much messin on spare key.

What IC in DDE must read, I saw an eeprom bosch B58253 (24C02), is it this one? or another IC?

in 0281001445 must read 24cxx and 2x 27c010 ...

thanks, but 2D47J MCU eeprom is only 512 bytes, not 64KB!!
