Default Some questions before I try

Does the eeprom needs to be removed before reading/programming? Is it not possible to program it in circuit i.e. with a testclip?

Second question, does the SMD soldered chip survives a soldering iron?

Third question, are there any clips or converters for a small SMD ic (like 93c56) to DIP format?

    Thanks,

    Eric
