i have a '98 landcruiser and have an error code "Bank 1 lean" changed out the 02 sensor and after 50 miles or so the check engine light came on and the error code returned. any suggestions on what could be wrong if its not the 02 sensor?

Why did you change the o2 sensor?

It was doing its job, and the ecu could see that bank 1 was lean.

You either have an air leak or not enough fuel, what are the long and short term fuel trims?

What was the actual error code and what did you read it with?

    What engine has it got?

    What year is it?

    How is it running?

If you give enough information we might be able to help you rather than guess.

In addition to Turner's advice you might want to clean your MAF-sensor and check the fuel pressure, filter etc..
Is ist 80 or 100 series? Engine code? the 80 series comes with a 4.5l six cyl. inline engine, 1FZ-FE, the 100 might be V8, 4.7 2UZ-FE. Shed some light, please.

Please introduce yourself in the corresponding section, it's polite.
