then update the installation using the ET2010B setup to over ride the previous files and have the same previous license

Yes you'll get the previous license but the previous feature(WinFlash) is death.I faced ths problem Bro when i was upgrading it in windows 7 X86,now i'm downgrading it to ver 2010A,coz no solution so far.Hopefull SomeOne wish to post the solution as soon as possible.

Anyone know is the function of the connector that I'm hanging in one of these photos ? I find this harness in my work, and it seems be to connect a ecm without the truck harness, but I don't know what purpose has that connector.

There is not a keygen for et 2010b yet (that I know of) and asking for one is a no-no. If your absolutly need 2010b uninstall 2010b install 2010a licence it ( post pcid and some one will help you with key) and install 2010b as up grade it will keep the 2010a licence.

looks to be a caterpillar 40 pin ecm harness to connect service tool to an ecm on or off the unit techs may use it to bypass truck componets if having hang ups flashing in new software

It looks like its a tool to bypass the truck electronics & go directly to the ECM.

I know that it's a cable to connect a ecm without the engine harness. Can be that connector to connect a swith dieselman ?

I see that the grey connector of the harness isn't the same that the grey connector of my diagnostic interface, I might that i need a adapter how this :

you need relicense for et 2010b

WINFLASH option of CAT ET is available in JERD2129 Full Service Dealer Version. Make sure your CAT ET license same as the above. If NOT, then try to install newer version and have it license with Full Service Dealer License.
