hello
thing good to make tuning you must now what to do
is not like reade or rite a flash eeprom
i hve sped a lot of time and a lot of money and i dont say that i now
but i tray to make good work
if you whont to do this job you must learn the winols good if you tray ecm swiftec race yes is good for start but only to learn how you must found the map aloun
you make mane mane time this on the pc
Sorry, I disagree.
Of course, with whatever editing package you use, you must know how the calibration is used to optimise engines operation.
However the software is simply a tool to do this. And when you do this for a living, you want a tool which allows you to do your job as efficiently as possible; time=money. ANYONE can learn winOLS and learn to identify maps (eg krinovsky), but when you are re-calibrating a few cars a day, your time should be spent on the dyno optimising...this is especially true if you are playing with many different ecu makes.
So for me, I can use winols well thankyou, but I think I can tune cars more efficiently with Swiftec so I buy it.
Same as a builder; he can spend a few hours a day making his own nails, but he knows he will build the house quicker if he simply buys the nails in a box ready to use![]()
Also Maglarus, what version of winOLS do you have??
You seem to misunderstand me, I haven't just decided I'd try this "chiptuning malarky" and become a forum/keyboard tuner. I've been professionally involved in this industry for close to 10years, my decision to purchase swiftec is simply to make my day to day activities easier, not to see if I can make a good tune.

you have a point here, ols its not the quiker way, its the scientific way though. sometimes its best to combine them!
