how the hell is it easy to tune with ECM if most of the drivers are either wrong or incomplete?
Hi guys
Can we have some more info's on swiftec. Does swiftec have a text search function with bar display at the side to help identify patterns ?
I hope there are some good functions because iam considaring buying.
you can have ecm swiftec race or win ols
can you tell me how can make a tuning
did you have a dyno??
or you make the tuning on the road??
the tuning is not like the dash or air bag or immo
tuning is tuning
thank you
Perfect answer, it's not a matter of the sofware you use, but a matter of what you know...
I use my dyno everyday to make files. I dont agree with guessing or making maps without a way to check your work.
I would like to here from people using swiftec
Winols yes best ive used but there are some things for me it does not do.
Regards..
Swiftec has the luxury of providing map-packs, which commercially speaking saves LOADS of time when tuning on a day to basis, so therefore is the best "solution" IMO if this is your day-to-day work.
winOLS is great software, and a third the price (1090 euro) best suited ideally for single genres of car or when you are FULLY able to QUICKLY alter what you want.
NEITHER will tune a car for you, 3000euro still doesnt buy you tuning skill![]()
This is the issue i guess. I spend hours searching , altering and testing maps i find on the dyno to determine what does what. I have become addicted to search and test . So much so that i have put the specialist cylinderheads i design on the back bench. The motorcycles i deal with , there wont be any map packs , not that i would need them anyway . Im more interested in buying something new that can be developed and if i do decide to tune race cars again i can do without hassle. the ols300 emulator interests me but the cost is expensive and the problem is usb emulators in bike dyno rooms normally crash from intereference noise even with ferrite either end .
If i did expand back into the car world are map packs available for winols/from who / what costs ?
The ecu mapping is relativly new to me, not the proceedure of tuning but the equiptment/software. Ten years ago to map a car it was areplacement mappable ecu or piggy back system.
EVC the makers of winOLS dont offer any support for map-packs or the like, they JUST support the software itself, and very well at that.
There is a company called Shiftech who will supply "OLSx" basically their brand of map packs. They are expensive, I think about 300e, and from what Ive heard not always accurate.
DAMOS can be obtained, but diluted from years on the net and again not always great...the good ones are hard to find/expensive.
This is where Swiftec comes into its own...its the complete package, and so far their coms is excellent.
RE emmulator and dyno-cell....yes I wouldnt be keen on that also!
Anymore comments on Swiftec ?
It says on there site they provide online map packs and dog off . Do we buy these moduals seperatly ?
I like the text search in winols with bar display . Anyone have full size screen shots of swiftecs 2d search
Thanks
Ive just ordered Swiftec, will have it installed next week, PM me and I'll send you some screenshots when its up and running.
if you don't know how to make a good tuned file with winols
