Default RPM limiter problem on Fiat Punto Gt 1.4 Turbo

    Hi,

I have increased the RPM limiter(WITH ECM2001 6.3)on that Punto GT to 7800 but the RPM gauge stops to 7400rpm.

    Original limiter is 6500.
Can anyone help me with RPM limiter?

7400 RPM is the maximum that MCU allows no matter the eprom , you cant go any higher than that

If you know a real technician in ecu,he is able to change you the size of the limiter,to be able raising more rpm.

But there is not much poeple knowing how to do.

You may ask oldford here on DK,but no guarantee

I didnt speak about raise value,i speak about raise size of map.

Whitout raising size of map is also possible, raise limiter, but as the map size is too small yoi will loose control of all needet data i low rpm, thats why you need get raised the SIZE OF MAP before raising rpm limiter.

But as i said, you need some magic guy,who can do this.
    Good luck

If you down value at 0x631A (0x72->0x71) you will increase 50RPM without problems, take your own calculation for 7800 rpm .
I did many motronics raising limiter until 9000 rpm without problems, this ecu not have another map/table/single value that limit this value in 0x631A.
Also i did to cut injector pulses (REV_LIMITER=0) .
I think that your problem is at other place.

with a good real-time emulator can easily compensate for speed 'lost in time and starting of the injection, I sometimes I did and I had no problems ....
