Default New Install - Wrong Time On Display

Hi. I've just moved house and had the cable guy round to use my toilet, drill through the wall and leave me to clean up after him in both cases!!! I've only signed up to broadband and not tv. But when I plug in my dbox i don't get the correct time coming up on the display, then when doing a scan no channels are found. I've only moved a couple of miles away from my old house where it was workng happily, so i'm guesing the tuner is still ok. Also i've got a couple of mates who are still using there dboxes, so it's not the n3 awitch over. I've tried plugging the lead straight from the wall into my dbox and still no luck with getting the correct time on the display. There was an attenuator on the end of the cable that wen into the modem, i've tried it with and without that. Also in the brown box on the outside wall where the cable comes in, there's what looks like a pretty heavy duty splitter, tried it with and without that as well.

    Any ideas???

    Thanks in advance.

check that the feed into the D box is nice and tight.
also you may have to re set your location and re scan for channels, even if you have only moves a couple of miles the gateways have to start and end somewhere so your location may have changed.

yeah. i've tried all the different areas it could be. even tried a bruteforce scan. shouldn't the time be correct regardless? it doesn't matter that cable tv has never been installed here and we've just gone for broadband does it? i was sure as long as the connection to the house was 'live' then it should be ok.

What image? What area? Sagem or nokia?.
Without answers I would say a reflash. Also you can be a street away and be a different area. Sort of! But then you say you have tried everything.

It's a nokia running c12. I've reflashed already. You reckon i could've dammaged the tunner in transit? I thought the clock shoud be correct as long as the feed is live.

I'm in birmingham as well by the way. Could n3 be in some areas of brum and not others? is there anything they do differently with new installs? not had problems even getting the correct time like this before.
