    I have just replied to another post regarding this.

    You find it in vaspc, admin, documents and then you find how to configure/install the interface.
    It can be a pain in the but, to be honest I just use mine via usb, it's Sooooo much easier than bluetooth.

    If the hardware is ok and no mixup in the COM ports I prefer Bluetooth, no hasle with cable and diagnostic run's even on the passenger side with no cable between your feet.
    But you are right, the more secure and stable method might be the cable one.

    If you have the screen after tappin Edic hardware installation you should go to Edic software configuration. It should show something like in the attached picture. If not, the device isn't recognized and assigned correctly.

    @chakahafed
    Just go into your system device manger of windows and see to which COM port the Edic is assigned to.
    Than in Edic hardware installation add Edic with the correpondet COM port you found in the device manager.
    To correct problems with the COM port follow:

    COM Name Arbiter Setter V0.1 - gives control over reserved COM port numbers
    Freeware by Uwe Sieber - Uwe Sieber's Homepage

    Whenever a new COM port is installed, Windows looks for the first
    never used number. This ensures that there are no conflicts when
    two of the devices are attached at the same time.

    In real live the users do not use their devices (as USB to COM adaptors)
    at the same time, but the COM number increase and increase...

    Yes that's it.
    The vas obviously can not handle too high COM ports.
    That's why sometime a com port reset does help.
