successful test on Garmin n?vi 200

The preloaded Nuvis have a large file into memory is the main file of the map. For nuvi 200 City Navigator Europe NT v9 France is the file Garmin/gmapprom.img of 224 136 KB

This file is locked gmapprom.img for your GPS by the Unit ID (serial number) and will not work anywhere else. You can not modify or update this file gmapprom.img using the MapSource software. This file is locked to a specific GPS receiver, removal, replacement or modification of this file will make your gmapprom.img inactive for GPS mapping initially charged. It will make a wonderful paperweight.

The update of this mapping pre-installed can be done by ordering a DVD update (upgrade DVD) from Garmin. DVD is specifically intended to update pre-loaded GPS receivers such as the nuvi.

If you use additional maps, you can replace or modify these cards. These additional maps are contained in the file Garmin / gmapsupp.img main memory or SD card if you have one.
