ELM 327 - on volvo

hi there,

basically, I just got this tool to try and diagnose a volvo c70 and s70, for some reason it says interface not recognized, does anyone know why? I installed the software and also the driver but it just doesnt find it, what am I doing wrong?

left the car on the 2nd line of ignition, is there something I need to do in a specific order???

what software are you using??
original software won't work with ELM chip based interface!
Elm supports mostly universal OBD/EOBD Software for engine diagnostic

ELM327 use FTDI virtual com-port driver. Use latest driver D2XX Direct Drivers , then set on new COM-port baud-rate 38400. In program set number of new com port (COMx). Try ScanMasterELM http://hotfile.com/dl/59121583/1973d...eygen.zip.html .

In ScanMasterELM 2.1 you can set the ELM327 on USB not just Virtual com ports
