i have y reg corsa 1.2 16v comfort when i start car in morning runs for 2 seconds then dies leave it couple of mins no problems. then can leave it all day and will still work 1st time.only happens in morning

Could be a faulty engine coolant temperature sensor.
Have the signals of all the sensors checked when the engine is cold.

As oldford already said check the sensor readings.
An easy way is to check is to compare the readings of the coolant temperature sensor and air temperature sensor when the car is cold. you must get the same or a simmilar reading. If there is a big deference between them you have to change ETC sensor.
