Default Manufactures TSB's where can they be found???

Hi guys can you tell me,as an independent garage where can i get TSB's from. Also how accessible are they???
We recently had a customer who paid over ?100 for a fix that had a Technical Service Bulletin relating to his fault yet he was charged for the work even though it could have been seen as a safety issue.
    Thanks in advance Laldog.

TSB's can be found in both mitchell and alldata, both program are on this site.

as for a TSB being free they are not in the US, unless you are under warranty, now if its a safty issue it's a recall such as toyota's accelerator pedal issues.

A TSB is just that, a technical bulliten advising of a change in policy or procedure to repair something they know is or can be a issue.

In the USA there is Office of Defects Investigation (ODI)

Which has links to search recalls, bulletins, and safety complaints (which often lead to recalls, etc). Its free and no program is required.

manufacturs decides TSB, usually not safty related, such as a revised egr valve or new calibration for better fuel milage.

NHTSA decides recalls or at least infuences them as consumers report issues (safty related) NTHSA puts pressure on and investigates these concerns.
