You need an special bench cable to activate factory mode in a DDEC 2 ecm, I don't have the schem for the cable. I'm searching the schematic

ok I found the meta file for DDEC II, and a schematic for a bench cable, however this is not going well... does anyone still check this? Here is what I have.ddec2.zip
To connect to a DDEC II use this:
OEM connector
B3 = Ignition
C1 = Data link J1708 (-) 901 dark green
C2 = Data link J1708 (+) 900 dark green/yellow
E1 = Connect one resistor of 3.9k Ohm to GND Orange-White-Red-Gold. 451 Lt Green
F2, G3 and H3 = GND F2-544 brn/wht, G3-545 ltblue/yellow, H3-115 orange
Do it at bench not the truck, the resistor it needs to be 3.9K ohms.
I made my bench harness with separated switches for wires F2 G3 and H3 and another one just for the resistor.
1- Connect F2, G3 and H3 to ground.
2-Connect E1 resistor to ground.
3- Turn ignition swith on B3, it should be now in factory test mode.
After you finish doing the re-programing turn off ignition and disconnect resistor and F2, G3 and H3 from ground or negative. wait about 10 to 15 seconds turn ignition and it should be in normal mode.
Let me know if it worked.

Ok, when he comes in again I will try this... however I am wondering why I have to remove it from the truck. I disconnected the VEH plug, and plugged in my harness. I connect ground (all e plus the resistor line), then I connect power (ignition). The main power plug stayed connected in the truck, so I didn't have to try track down a blank new one. I got nothing.
So next question, what about unplugging EVERYTHING except the power plug, then connecting my cable... Or do I just need to take it off the truck period? I'm ok with doing that, I am just confused as to WHY I am doing that...
Now also... my datalink + and - are not twisted, but the run is short... Is this a problem? Trying to understand what is happening not trying to be a pain in the southern region!
If you have a extra power harness you can use it with a battery jumper, this way you can use it at the bench table. Some have terminals and the voltage is very stable. I use a 13.8 Volt 10 amp power supply http://www.amazon.com/Pyramid-PS12KX...dp/B0002JTD1Q/. About the J1708 wires no problem if they are not twisted, if they shorts. Go to your nearest junk yard and purchase the 6 pin connector some switches and use a project box http://www.amazon.com/PI-Manufacturi.../dp/B00INGRKB0 to make all your connections. Good luck.
