    Default HAVE I BRICKED MY ITOUCH

    i had 3.1.2 on my 1st gen itouch and had jailbraked it. i updated my software to 3.1.3 and was fine. tried to jailbrake it again and it failed. now my itouch wont boot up fully, it just stays on the apple logo. is there anything i can do. or is it BRICKED...

    have you tried restoring it through itunes?

    it wont register in itunes, ipod wont boot past the apple logo m8..

    just recoverd my itouch through itunes, i got to the screen on itunes which says recover and update. i did that and then itunes says its recoverd ok. then itunes says leave ipod connected and and the device will show in itunes. after 5 mins it hasnt showed up in itunes.. any ideas people..??

    after repeating the restore method about 10 times, ive got my ipod back running. on the 3.1.3 firmware. thinking of jailbreaking with redsnow 0.9.2 using the 3.1.2 firmware patch.........

    Think u should use blackrain then u can stay on 3.1.3 more compatable with newer apps etc.....

    as far as i can tell, u still stay on 3.1.3 when using the redsnow patch on 3.1.2..

    Could anyone guide me through the process of jailbreaking my 1st gen itouch on 3.1.3?? I'm kinda at a loss....!!

    first u need to get firmware files for your version of i touch... google them and download.

    then u need to put in dfu mode and restore it clicking shift and choosing the file of the firmware u just download it

    easyest way is to go to jailbreakme on wifi network on with your itouch and let it work

    install cydia after instal hackolus (google it) and instalous

    and thats it

    Have you tried jailbreakme.com straight on the ipod...very fast jailbreak method

    All sorted now people. But moved onto a IPhone 4. No probs as ov yet. On ios 4.0
