Hi from Northwest UK,
I'm new to the forum, but i'm having a few problems with my clio 182.
Basically, when I turn the key to ignition, I get a solid immobiliser light. When I turn the key to ignition, let it do it's checks, then turn it, I get no crank, and the occassional relay clicking. If I turn the key straight through from position 1 - 3 it tries to crank then stops on its own. (vid attached)

Not i've just recently purchase an official clip v86 and it's showing a network issue.
I done a general fault check on all the system and immobiliser and connection unit (which I assume is UCH), are both showing no faults. The ECU had stored faults on it, but it wouldn't let me erase them. The faults were definately not relivant.
So after puzzling over it myself, I got an auto electrician round. He had a look at the loom, and UCH, but couldn't find anything. After he had finished doing stuff, he put the car on clip again, and the ECU was no longer recognised, and the image on the above pictures changed box 120 to red as you would expect.
I had the ECU sent away as this we what he suggested, and the company said that it works fine up to the point the immobiliser kicks in, so in there eyes there is nothing wrong with it.
Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Any suggestions? I've tried bump/jump starting it, but nothing. It came on all of a sudden one day, but was intermitent. Then the following day, it wouldn't turn over at all. I've changed the ignition relays to see if that could be the issue, but no luck. Fuel pump is priming as should, but i'm assuming it could be cable related? Even when you earth the ECU it still doesn't want to find it. It's starting to depress me a bit now as it's been off the road for 2 months.
Hope that all makes sense![]()
