right ok, now got hearing back and can hear your vid

Had one doing this a few months back

    1) had NO oil in it, you dash says 'oil ok' work whipping your stick out and wipeing it
    2) Same car few days later - 'same ' thing - this time was flat battery.
    3) Short out the starter long time 30 seconds, see if fault logged.
    4) look for the the earth to the ecu - had a Reno Migraine in, bassically
Xavair or Claude had earthed the ecu on the engine - engine moved played
    up
    5) Throw them stupid french battery termainsal away and buy new - incase spiking ecu
    6) *THINK* but may be INCORRECT - think you should go back to your yellow
pages and find a DK member in your area - you will HAVE to tow it to that member - Don't ask who it is because not going to mention user names or avatairs
pretty sure they are in your area - but means having to log onto ebay, to get
their location, then look throgh this thraed to see your location to see if 100%
    rite or wrong

    1) I've recently dipped it and all seems to be ok. It was leaking a bit though, so i'll double check it. (recently fitted an oil cooler, and I'm not sure if it sealed fully).
2)I've tried two different batteries on it and still no change.
3)I think my auto guy tried this, but need to check.
    4) i've manually earthed the ECU to see if there is any change.
5)I've got a race battery in also, which has new terminals on it.
    6)Might just do that

We opened up and checked the connector and all seems fine.

    *BUMP* *SPAM* *BUMP*

According to a Search the nearest DK Veteran member with a brain
    is approx "30 miles away".

Best thing you can do is see if you can zip the car up, with isomagic, winrar, winzip etc and email to this member, with all the spare parts.

Leave it with them see if they can sort it - or ebay it

    Default Definately ecu maybe

    Hi
this seems like ecu problem . Check for bad soldering connections inside ecu under good light and viewer. Put battery charger on car and see if you can erase faultcodes in ecu..
I have got problem with the two canclips i bought ,(china clone from different suppliers)
On low battery voltage they act up even if car starts by it self..
    Regards

Fuses have been checked, and nothing seems to be wrong with them. By red button, you mean the kill switch? If so, the ph2 doesn't have one.

Can't be an ECU issue if i've tried two different ones surely? Plus I sent my ECU off to a company who opened it up for a look, and nothing was wrong apparently. I've had the booster on when trying to erase faults, but made no difference. Mine isn't a chinese one though.

I appreciate all the ideas guys, it's very helpful. You know it's going to turn out to be something so stupid

Sorry for the delay on replying about this. Turned out to be a starter problem. On the F4R engine, ie. cliosport/meganes/legunas, there is a back feed from the starter motor to the immobiliser. Wiring loom was also a bit dodgy, but unsure if that was the main source. Loom was removed, new loom was put on (engine section), and it fired up once. Then nothing. Wacked the starter and it fired up, so changed that, and all good. Wierd one, and thanks to Albertros for the work
