    Default passat with smart key

    if i have immo off on passat 2008 can i strat the engine with another smart key from another car ....

    can anyone explain please..

    As far as i am aware the simple answer is no .... keys are coded to vin and are one use only.

    thanks youuu...

    but i asked someone he is professional and he told me

    if i bypass immo ( immo off ) i can start the car with any key and used keys .. thanks

    anyone has something to tel us ............

    Hello

    His question was IF he bypasses the Immobiliser System can he start the Vehicle using any other key.

    As far as I know if the vehicle doesn't have immobiliser you can even start the vehicle by joining two wires, forget about using other key.

    Sorry read it as if he unplugs imobiliser (fingers typing faster than brain working)

    if you can totally remove or bypass imobiliser but leave the key reader in a working condition then there is no reason for it not to start.

    but these days immobilisers are interlinked with other units on the car, so if correct signal is not sent car will not start. i think it would be very difficult to totally remove a modern immobiliser.
