Analysts at Goldman Sachs believe Apple is working on a new, smaller iPad with extra features.
YouGov found that around half of iPad owners use the device for reading newspapers, magazines and playing games
The new, more compact iPad could be on sale by June next year, said analysts at the firm.

It will feature the same 9.7in display, but will be thinner and lighter, and feature a built-in camera for FaceTime video calls as well as a mini USB drive, wrote Henry King and Kevin Lu in a report for the firm.

Apple?s touch-screen, tablet-style computer has proved hugely popular with consumers, with three million iPads snapped up in the 80 days after its April launch.
Several consumer electronics companies are readying their own iPad rivals, including Research in Motion, the company behind the BlackBerry, HP, Microsoft, Google and Dell.
Goldman Sachs estimates that around 16 million tablet computers could be sold this year, and expects that number to more than double to 35 million in 2011.
Apple is also rumoured to be working on a 7in tablet computer. Several supply chain partners in the Far East have indicated to the local press that Apple could be preparing a smaller iPad that takes some if its design cues from the iPhone 4.
Apple has refused to comment on the rumours and speculation.
Some technology experts have questioned the likelihood of Goldman Sachs? predictions. Apple has traditionally favoured its own proprietary dock connector over the more ubiquitous mini USB port, and makes a significant amount of additional income from licensing third-party manufacturers to make docks and other accessories that are compatible with its proprietary connection.
