experience in M-ASK BMW

hello
anyone have experience with M-ASK in E60 BMW?
mine is HS and i have buy a used in germany
but when i plug in car all works but i don't have any sounds
BMW dealer tell me he cannot recode the unit!!!!!!

Why are you replacing the other one to begin with? What problem are you hoping to resolve by replacing it? Typically once a module is coded it is coded to that vehicle. I'm sure there are ways around that, but a dealer does not have the ability to do it.

i have replacing because he don't works!
only sounds of car!
not display ,cd or tuner
new work well ,display tuner and cd but he don't have any sounds!!!
do you think bmw cannot code a used m'ask?

With the new M-ASK installed does the door chime when the key is in the ignition and the door is open? Or is there no noise at all? I do not think they will be able to program that module. Typically when that module is programmed to a vehicle it is tied to that vehicle.

i don't have any noise in car!
i see he have a hw code!
my hold have hw16 and new have hw11 !!!!!!!!!!

If you have no noise in the car including chime for the doors I would be looking at the amplifier as the cause for this. The display going out may be the M-ASK but if there is no sound whatsoever I would look towards the amplifier as the cause for this. You may have multiple problems here.

i don't think problem in amplfier because have same problem with two units!!
perhaps different wires or softwares!

My english is not good ,sorry for this.

first of all masks spare codes vary depending on the vehicle equipment. Look it matches the code as a spare in the chassis number of your car. If these do not match, the programming system bmw'll interrupt the programming and thus can not be codified car.
