of course i copied font files to windows\fonts from the beginning
i gave for granted you would know the problem is not that one
i overwrote all fonts, including 3 that were in use: micross, tahoma and tahomabd.ttf
i tried updating windows and even i installed an english version of xp (mine is spanish)
i also tried in win7
no results
help?

ps: i have this problem from the beginning
updated my windows xp, installed lots of versions of .net framework and visual studio 2008 express
i have only managed to make it work with correct characters in one laptop, i dont know what step of the many i did really made the difference and worked (the last step that made it work was updating windows to the max, but before i did a lot more)
now i am trying in different computers with the same steps but i got the same error in all
is my version of xp (sp3 corporate spanish)?

if fonts inside fonts.rar are extracted with winrar directly to windows\fonts, fonts are not installed
what i did is extract content to a folder, select them all, copy, go control panel/fonts, paste -> so that windows install fonts and informs you when any font is already installed
in some computers, if you go c:/windows/fonts, that folder looks like any other normal folder, with side panel
you must go control panel/fonts and see that the folder looks different, without side panel, then paste all fonts there
you can also use a wizard going control panel/fonts/file menu/install new font

I had the same problem (equal to the figure of the post) after installing the fonts from rapidshare the problem was solved in a PC.
others I can not even install

fonts inside rapidshare file are the same that the ones included in ecu-gauge-1xx.rar, they have the same crc32 (also called hash or checksum number)
you can check it with winrar
what matters is doing the processes i described before

I am still having this problem:

have tried the 1.68 version and I am receiving an error:

"Unable to install or run the application. The
application requires that assembly stdole Version 7.0.3300.0 to be installed in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) first"

I have .net 3.5 sp1

every folders (fonts saved as monaco said)


google msdatasrc.dll and place it in c:/xr25pc directory together with AxInterop.MSChart20Lib.dll and Interop.MSChart20Lib.dll

I dont have C:\xr25 folder for installing xr25 program

I can get version 1.15 to work, but I cant see whole display and I need newer version because I have megane 2.0 16v

I now have different problem.
Previous solved when I had instaled Visual Basic express

But now every version of XR25 that I want to install I get the same error and that is that program has encoured the problem and needs to be closed

Download 167 upwards and it should work fine

Have you tried this method

copy ftd2xx.dll to c:\windows\sytem32
make a directory c:\website\CLIP\resources
copy the image files in this directory (resources.rar)
copy the font files c:\windows\fonts
place the license file in c:\website\CLIP\resources
copy mschart20 to c:\windows\system32\mschart20.ocx
then : regsvr32 mschart20.ocx for registry adding.

I'M REINSTALL XR25-PC BUT IS NOT WORKING YET, MY VAG-CABLE NOT WORK WITH XR25, COM-PORT IS NOT RECOGNIZED IN THE CONTROL PANEL , DEVICE IS 0 ! ! ! !

You may have already tried this but...
Right click 'My Computer' on your desktop
Click 'Manage'
Click 'Device Manager'
Expand 'Ports' and your cable should be in there, double click it and you can set its own port number.
