    Does anyone know the procedure In DAS/Xentry for fitting a new Mercedes EIS ignition switch using green workshop key.

    Hi!! You must go with Xentry Das to EIS\EZS to initial startup and then you guided throu steps!!

    Thanks. Is there some way that I can know if the key that I have is okay. I only have one original key but dont want to mess up new EIS if the key transponder is faulty.

    if you go into Xentry Das to EIS/EZS dependent on the model there is usually a guided automated test for checking the key, it is preferable if you have two keys for a more reliable diagnosis but it is still possible with one

    this will depend on the version of DAS you are using and model but from memory it has been there for approx 2yrs for most models
