Run the Caesar test from Star utilities (you may need to use the copy from the WINNT folder or some other place). Caesar test reads the serial number.

Do not post it on the forum, better to leave it for PM.

870 is a blocked mux. the old fixes do not work.
the programing has changed in xentry to block the multiplexers on the blacklist.
Only one place has the fix for this as far as I am aware, and they cannot be named here

i think your registry is compact 2, need to change to compact 4

I dont know what the new solution is, i dont have it. but I do know the old fix does not work with xentry

Rename the original DAS32R2.exe *.bak then copy the one in the archive to C:\Programme\DAS\Bin

Give this a go & see what happens, i'm not promissing anything

I should have tried this instead of asking but it is too late now, so: is this really supposed to fix the Xentry 870 error? I cannot see how changing the DAS32R2.exe would make Xentry behave differently.

I thought this thread was about the Xentry 870, many of us are able to run DAS perfectly fine but Xentry with new cars (real diagnosis, not simulation) returns this (1.17)-7.870 error.
