Default Paypal buyer protection is changing 11/1

Buyer protection: eBay and PayPal have great news for you.

Now more than ever, when you buy something online you want the peace of mind of knowing that we've got you covered, and that handling unforeseen issues is easy.

That's why eBay and PayPal have both improved their buyer protection in two new ways.

#1 A NEW way to handle eBay disputes:

There's a better way to file a dispute for anything you bought on eBay ? even if you paid for it with PayPal. All you have to do is go to eBay.com, sign-in, click the Contact Us link at the top of the page, and follow the directions. We think you'll find this is a much easier way to resolve any eBay dispute.

Get answers about the new and improved way to settle eBay disputes:

This demo shows how eBay Buyer Protection works. You can also learn more here. If you are a seller with questions, get answers here. For full terms see here.

#2 Enjoy more protection from PayPal for purchases you make at websites other than eBay:

Starting November 1, 2010, an expanded purchase protection policy will help protect shoppers whenever they don't receive an item they purchased, or if they receive an item that is significantly different than how the seller describes it.

Watch for more information regarding this new coverage in the coming weeks.

I have not read anything more. This was in my inbox today.

RULE#1 ALWAYS PAY PAYPAL VIA CREDIT CARD. That way when the seller and paypal stiff you, you can stick it back to paypal via your cc company.
