Question Huyndai Genesis 2010 key question ...

    Hello everybody.

Does anyone know if this key has a transponder inside?
After a search I found out the key is an Ilco HY15-P.
Some say it has a transponder, some say it doesn't, but at a price of $6 from most of the online suppliers I doubt it it has one.
Also, if it does, what programmer has to be used for the programming ?

    Regards.

If the model you have does indeed take HY15-P, it does not have a transponder. Check the ilco website literature and support page, there's a wealth of information. As far as I know, most variations of the Hyundai Genesis do use a transponder in USA, and a Lexus type key.

You are talking about the key fobs I reckon.
I was talking about the ignition key.
I need one, as the second one that came originally will be used for the newly installed remote starter ...

    Thanks.

im not pretty sure becausse the info is so difuse, one manual says you need pin code and Hi scan or Carman scan even Carman scan lite (select by model)
and other says you can do it with MVP or T-CODE

so you need to try and post the result, maybe you need to post the VIN in the correspond section for obtain the pin code and then try it
