CORRECT TITLE
Suzuki Grand vitara with denso ECU finaly started by removing chip from ECU.....
Just to summerise what we had done:
We were getting error code 83 which indicates a fault in communication between ecu and immobilizer and the grand vitara is a year 2000 tdi with a denso immobilizer.
We checked all the wiring twice over and was ok.
We thought the immo maybee faulty so we
kept the same ecu in the suzuki (picture enclosed) and put an identical immo bought into the car and swapped the chips shown in the picture of immo enclosed, from the original immo to new to hopefuly sync them up (ecu to new immo).
This did not work
We then thought the ecu could possibly be faulty so kept the original immo and changed the ecu for an identical one we bought but swapped the chip containing the pairing immo info from original ecu into new ecu. (top left 8 pin chip TC97101P) This did not work.
In the end what did start the car was removing and leaving the TC97101P chip of stangely enough.
Removing this chip allowed the new and old ecu units to work with either of the two immos (using the correct key for the immos of corse).
Maybee the ecu chip with the correct info was corrupt in both ecus so was not allowing the ecu and immo to sync with the correct pairing code in ecu? And without this chip in the ecu it was seeing either immo as the correct one as it did not have a code to compare either immo info as wrong against?
I have added the reading from both ecu chips (TC97101P)
to see if they look correct or corrupt, not sure if the parts of the reading in 00s indicate this.
We have been trying to get this car to work for a while and were told the only way to pair the immo to ecu were a ?2000 tech 2, now we are trying to figure why the car has now started

? If anyone has any idea or knows why this has worked would be very interested to hear?
Hope this helps anyone else who have had problems with this car started.
Thanks kd1
