hello , if you want to repair ...i can give you some pictures with parts ( for repairing) .... if is helpfull
Did you get it sorted ? the "cbx" box is for the syncro, problem is for 4 speed auto you have:
CHF, AOG, CHG, AMM, CCA + about 20 others, the 1st pic in your attached thumbnails, that box does have a dipstick you can see the dip stick tube on the end of the box and the top of the dipstick just by the oil cooler on the top of the box, problem is, is getting the correct final drive with all those different variations
Cant help with a gearbox i'm afraid but if you let me know the problems ,i might be able to advise an economic repair . ie the target ring for the speed sensor coming loose was a very common fault.
his problem was the autobox oil cooler was leaking and mixed water and gearbox oil and now has lost reverse it trys to move for a second , its stuck on his drive but trys to move forward ok ,,
l was going to flush and refill but wasnt sure if its to late

To late : over the years i have seen transmissions filled with axle oil ,brake fluid ,you name it , but water is the worst of all. after the break when we are all back to work i will put out a few feelers and let you know.

Most transmissions run 100 degrees C + so water turns to steam and literally strips bonded pistons & seals and any friction plates so everthing runs metal to metal even
lock up converters. that's without the rust problem in
needle rollers, planet gears valves ect . the main case is the one thing that normally survives ,with an old vehicle
it is just simple economics
