Default Saab NG900 - Which opcom version?

    Hi All,

Does anyone have any experience with op-com on a saab 900, 98 year? If so what version of opcom would be compatible and what firmware would I need to flash into my op-com?

Alternatively are there any other tools which would allow me to access this car? I am after something that has tech2 equivalent features such as programming of central locking etc, and my searching so far shows only op-com with this level of access.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Answer is short. You can't program this Saab with any version of Opcom.
I haven't heard about any other tools what can do things what you want to do, exept TECH2, which is Saab dealer tool.

After just blowing over ?300 at a dealer to get a check-engine-light fault diagnosed and a ?40 crankshaft sensor replaced, I decided to get an OP-COM on eBay as it's supposed to support GM cars and SAABs.

    My car is a 2001 SAAB 9-3 2.2 TID.

Installation on the laptop is OK but can't seem to get it to talk to the car at all. Under the selection for SAAB it only lists a 1.9 engine which is on newer post-2002 models only.

What selection did you choose to get started with yours?

    Any other tips?

    Thanks!
