    Default dodgy needles on E46 dash ?

    Hey Guys,
    I am looking at buying an E46 330i but when test driving it the rev counter and speedo needles do not move smoothly - they move in small jerky movements up and down.
    Is this a problem with these dashes or does it sound like someone has ~~~~ed with the mileage ?
    Just want some opinions before buying it.
