Could someone confirm which folder is a standalone VIDA install file located? There are several.
Also, after install is it normal for "ALL IN ONE VIDA" shortcut to start with internet explorer http://localhost/VIDA and not being able to connect. How do I start a standalone version of installed VIDA?

Thanks Iroll, Problem is that V logo is not running properly, or something preventing it from starting properly. It does show green arrow but when I right click it all I could do is click exit, other options like run are dissabled. Even after I click exit it does nothing

Hi, Thanks so much for trying to help
I'm running XP service pack 3 as an administrator. I turned off firewall and still no connection. I double click on the VIDA monitor icon and it tries to connect to but can't. Explorer says "HTTP 404 Not Found". Arrrr...

Could it be that the patch is not installed properly or the VIDA download was corrupted or some files missing?

So you are saying that the Vida Monitor is Green, but it still won't connect when you open "Vida All In One"?

It starts up with a red square and turns to triangle of a yellow/green color. I think monitor is frozen because I can't exit it when clicking on Exit and all other options are disabled. Status says - Starting. I tried reinstalling but no change.

What configuration should I have: Intranet or Internet, any other changes required, like Proxy settings?

    Default Hi,

Monitor does take awhile to start on a slow computer or one with a lot of processes. Info about your PC?

Monitor\Options\VIDA Service\ Start automatic should be selected.

VIDA Configuration: Intranet click "save" and then close. This also restarts vida monitor.

    Thanks Iroll,
I'm running windows xp sp3, Intel pentium M laptop with 1gb RAM.
When I change to intranet and save monitor doesn't seem to respond and still has all click options disabled but Exit. so I can't click on Options to change them.

    Default Hi,

IE7: Clear the cookies and temp files in IE.
Internet Options/Advanced Tab (Restore Advanced Settings) (Reset IE Settings)

2010D Repair is gone? May have to skip this step!
Try: Add or Remove Programs: select VIDA click Change then Repair.
    VIDA Configurations: click save.

You will have an Information Bar Security Warning starting VIDA ? Intranet Disabled?
?Add-On Disabled? select (Enable Intranet Settings, Run ActiveX Control)

Note: Fresh install and first run, VIDA Monitor will not load unless you are connected to a network.

I've cleared IE 8 setting and restored in advanced

I can't repair from uninstall menu, there is no option for repair, just remove VIDA.

I have wireless internet on this laptop, is that good enough for the network requirements?

So it seems that installation is finished successfully but something is in conflict with monitor starting properly.

    Thank you very much
