    Default vauxhall corsa c

    1.2 l ,2005, engine code z12xep. runs erratic intermittent, have changed egr and air flow, but still fault occurs. fault code stored is p0170 fuel trim malfunction bank 1. in live data bank 1 long term fuel trim reading -25%, and bank 1 short term fuel trim -16% up to -20%. can anyone help. thanks

    Mixture is too rich (or ecu thinks it's too rich).
    Check exhaust for leaks. Check Oxygen sensor signals.

    hello just want to thank you all for the advice, and update on resolving problem. we changed egr and air flow which didnt cure anything but we used spurious parts from local car spares, when looking in live data we noticed 02 sensor bank 1 wasnt switching, so we replaced just the air flow with the old 1 of the vehicle, this cured the problem, the spurious 1 must not of been working correctly and causing the vehicle to run rich, which was suggested by you all. just to let you no and big thanks to you all. fantastic
