    Default MS Office Problem

    Hi
I've been using a copy of MS office for a very long time that was a link from this forum. No problems whatsoever. Yesterday I could not open word or excel but access was fine. Uninstalled d/l Office 2010 same problem. tried 64bit version all okay (however ms access is too slow on 64bt).

    The message I get is

    Microsoft Word/Excel has stopped working.

Check on line for a slotuion and close the program
    or
Close the program only options. Solution does nothing.

I then get pop up box stating.

There was a problem sending the command to the program.

I've googled but I'm not really progressing at all. I've been using bitdefender and have scanned with Malwarebytes. All clean.

    Any ideas

Microsoft playing games with you cause is not genuine. I had that problem too. I bought a genuine one and the problem is off.

    Note: you can use Office 2010 32bit & 64bit on windows 64bit.
Using office 2010 64bit on windows 32 will not function properly.

Well at least that makes more sense than anything else. I actually have bought a copy for ?40 and was kinda hoping I could get some support if the problem still existed and I have the option to return the software too.

EDIT: my 64bit was not okay. Although it allowed me to open files I cannot edit or save them.

    thanks for your reply though.

Oh well I am back to square one.

Appcrash all the time on paperport even with ms office uninstalled. SOmething has failed and I'm struggling. Perhaps it's hardware?
