    Default Help with VAG-COM 409.1

    Hello,

    i have a blue vag-com interface purchased on ebay ( china ).
It worked fine under vag-com 311 software since i tried 409.1
version. Now all communicatons are impossible under both version. I think the 409.1 have corrupted my interface. I've head it's possible to reprogram the ftdi chip with the correct .ept, with mprog, but i could not find such a file for 409.1.
Any ideas where is this file ???

    Thanks in advance.

    Please use the search-function.

I think you have to reflash your interface.

I think the "blue" cable is kkl. I have never heard that vag-com 409 can damage such a cable. Can someone confirm that?

    I never heard that too.
But I saw dameged cable becasue of aftermarket HU.
In this case you have a short to +12V on pin 7 K-line.
It happens becasue of ABS ( this is what it happened to me )
I have a VAG SAVER ( made by myself) to check if it's a short to +12V into the OBD connector first.
    Good luck

Take a look into the Device Manager and tell me if your interface is prezent there.
If it is prezent please chek the Vid and Pid
mAybe you need to reinstall the driver for it.
Sometimes I saw that you can loose the driver.
VagCom sw can distry your inteface but if you have upgrade function and you are conected to the internet.
But check the driver first and be sure that your interface is connected to a virtual com port between 1 and 4.
    Good luck
