It can be easily switched off, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO DO THAT!

Go into SDM, click on programming, Enter Security Code, Click on Module Configuration Programming, and alter the SBR settings (SBR= Seat Belt Reminder).

But you should do this, if you really take all the consequences!
