Perkins comm adaptor with CAT ET?

Perkins EST and OLYMPIAN EST can be used to connect to 1300 perkins engine, but only for monitoring, cannot doing test. usually use comm adapter from nexiq or CAT comm adapter II with different cable. Better use 1300 EDI software with nexiq comm adapter. the software already in the forum. do a search, mate..

hi all.Anyone ever do connect perkins 1106 engine with nexiq usb link?
i connect this engine with est 2010b but error.
please see att image.
ecm j1939 ok,I have tried to connect this ecm with comap(generator controler) by j1939 link ->ok.
anyone can give me ideas?

i explane you , the 1106 use the communication datalink private potocol only engine , if use original adapter and engine communition wirout problems

JUst check +V and -V datalink cable of perkins connection and caterpillar also....you will understand what i am saying...

thank you, it working ok with caterpillar adapter2, but i have some problem with est factory password.

Sorry...but Ned to know, if you connect to Olympian or FG Wilson genset for establish connection to ecm need instal link inside the diagnostic box.!

For Perkins/CAT link adapter 2 no drivers needed to install. The driver must be installed for CAT Comm Adapter 3 only!

the cat comm3 works perfect with est and all perkins engine, even you can flash etc, the only problem is getting the factory passwords!!!!

i have access to perkins flash and trim files, anybody can help with factory passwords?
