Wow do you use them for house bricks or something, or keep leaving them in customers cars?

I mean that you connect your Autocom with some of volvo trucks, and then instead of using VOLVO TRUCK menu option, you should choose and use VOLVO BUS CHASIS menu option, and then choose similar engine. In most cases that is same MID number - 128 or 233 (I am not sure now).

I tried this without connection to real vehicle, and noted, as you already said, noticeable longer time in which device is trying to connect,

after few days of measurements and searches conclusion is faulty firmware,
wrong relays is actuated for volvo truck,
i can make diagnostic now after i put two switches one for interruption of CS MAX4820 and other for direct connection to pins 12 and 13,
mybe somebody can help us with good dump for atmel chip,
    regards

    OFF TOPIC:-

Early sprinter there a bastard, get module wrong place heater motor eats it for breakfast.

Late sprinter 90% sure, you yank like ~~~~ on the radio surrand, few screws, *THINK* sprinter is ISO (won't argue) then pick ignition feed up off black/yellow of headlight sw.

How can you not make money out of something that was free

Think the record for fitting at M-H-M is 20 mins - Citroen C3
also Vectra C are really nice as well.

Glad that you sorted it out. Can you please be more specific about your findings?

If I understood you correctly, you mounted two additional (probably micro dip switches), one which has to cut the line (which line?) from Max4820 to relay(s), and two more, for "bridging" required pins on 16pin OBD connector to put singnal on pins 12 and 13.

Maybe you just should modify that Vovlo 8 pin adaptor cable to put those signals on "right" pins. Or maybe we can make special adapter wich will be inserted between Autocom device and that Volvo 8 pin adapter cable?

IF you have any schematic, or photos, can you share it?

    Regards and respect!

    hi,
the 8 pin cable i changed like in photo which i posted in other topic about autocom,
i try to make photos but stupid chinese scraped every chip,
i removed pin J1/10 from main board and i put switch on/off between main board and relay board(CS is denied have pull up resistor on relay board),
another switch i put to connect directly J2/9 and J2/10 to pins 12 and 13 on relay board(connector with obd wires),
must have both switches actuated for volvo and made double command if you have comunicate before with other truck (the reset command for max4820 is given before starting each selection),
    regards

That's weird, starting to think that there is some kind of 'bug' in the Autocom software.

Take for example last week, 'Jonny Fartpants' was showing 'Buster Gonad' the GENUINE CDP he got for his 15TH birthday the week before.

Not sure what car it was, think a BMW or something, but it just went S L O W tHEN LOcked up the software.

    So bear that in mind.

Not had chance to catch up with 'Jonny Fartpants' yet.

    Right, the plot gets thicker.

Not sure which brand of car, because walked in half way through conversaion.

Basically there was two old people in Argus playing hell, about this, apparantly they plugged into some car, and came up fault code on engine only "heated mudflaps - permanet" - but the manager insisted they showed them, before they could do a refund.

They showed the manager yes comes up "heated mudflaps - permanet" - then selected the correct engine code - came up with the true code "sideward facing foo-foo valve jambed - permanet"

    Beaware of that.
